Your donations are directed toward providing you with a higher level of service through advanced training and education for our volunteers and a number of programs which benefit our community. Your continued support allows us to provide many public safety programs including the Junior Firefighter Program (for youth ages 14-20), fire prevention and fire safety presentations at local schools, civic organizations, and businesses, as well as community-based programs such as the Hydesville Easter Egg Hunt. Our members also help put on the Fortuna Rodeo, Redwood AutoXpo, Fourth of July Festival, Apple Harvest Festival, “Every 15 Minutes” program, as well as the Eel River Valley Fire Academy and the Eel River Valley Technical Rescue Team. Donations are further used for uniforms, training supplies, memorial services, department functions and CERT (Community Emergency Response Team).
