Topping the 24 boat field at this year’s 22nd Annual Paul Jadro Memorial – Fortuna VFD Company 2 Bass Tournament was the team of Tommy and Jesse Cardoza with a winning weight of 25.28 lbs. Their 5 fish limit included the two biggest fish of the event weighing in at 6.04 and 5.90 lbs. giving them total winnings of $1,216.00 for their first place finish.
The next closest weight and claiming second place was the team of Jeff Noga and Brett Banducci with a weight of 18.81 lbs. followed closely by 3rd place finishers Tom Helberg and Brian Barthman with 18.58 lbs.
On the Youth Angler side, bringing in the 3rd largest fish of the event at 5.38 lbs. was Youth Angler winner William Justesen – his 3rd consecutive win in the division. Second place in the youth division went to Zoe Sigman for the second year in a row. Each youth contestant received prizes for their efforts with the 1st place winner also receiving a plaque and a $50.00 check courtesy of Umqua Bank.
Dennis Parrot and Michael Patterson took home the “smallest limit” award sponsored by A-1 Radiator of Fortuna for their 5 fish limit weighing in at 7.39 lbs. A new for this year “tough-luck” award went to Larry Ponci and Dale Zerlang for their efforts in spite of losing a trolling motor right out of the chute.
