This is an entry-level training program that prepares students for a career with CalFire. This course also develops job application techniques.
While not mandatory… attendance is highly encouraged

Tuesday and Thursday 5:30 – 9:00 pm
(plus 9 Saturdays and 2 Sundays)
No more than two class absences are permitted.

• CALFIRE 179 Hour Firefighter Certification
• NWCG S-110 (Basic Wildland Fire Orientation)
• NWCG I-100 (Introduction to the Incident Command System)
• NWCG S-190 (Introduction to Wildland Fire Behavior)
• NWCG S-130 (Basic Wildland Firefighter Training)
• NWCG L-180 (Human Factors in the Wildland Fire Service)
• First Aid / CPR / AED for Professional Rescuers, plus Administering Emergency Oxygen
• FEMA EMI On-line – IS-700.a (NIMS – National Response Plan)
• Hazardous Materials – First Responder Operational
